Healing Black Maternal Health through Art & Literature
Mark your calendars for an enriching evening at Spelman College Bookstore on April 12, 2024, from 4-6pm, coinciding with both Black Maternal Health Week and the close of Spelman’s Founders Week. Join us as we explore the theme of Healing Black Maternal Health through the captivating lenses of Art and Literature. Esteemed Class of 1986 Morehouse College and Spelman College Alums Dr. B.K. Edmond MD, and Master Quiltmaker Michelle Curney Willis will guide us through insightful discussions on the intersection of medicine, culture, and creativity. Be prepared to delve into meaningful conversations, gain valuable insights, and bask in the warmth of community over a selection of fine wine and cheese. This unique event promises an engaging blend of a book signing, quilt showcase, and a brief exploration of using art to heal. Don’t miss out on this empowering opportunity to be part of a conversation aimed at uplifting, empowering, and healing.
